Abstract

The aim of this course is to familiarise course participants with the concept of Pica when working with people with learning disabilities.  A full explanation will be given to this syndrome and how to work alongside those who suffer from this condition.  The complexity of this work will be explored at length in order that course participants can deal with this syndrome in an effective and coherent manner.  The main aim of this course is to give course participants more confidence in supporting and managing clients who have developed pica.
