Therapeutic Approaches in Working With Families: An Awareness - T0284b

Abstract

The aim of the session is to enable participants to explore issues relating to the concepts of therapeutic approaches in working with families.  Participants will become familiar with a variety of approaches in their application in working with families and how they can best be utilised in working with complex issues.  Three core areas will be addressed: cognitive behavioural interventions, motivational interviewing and solution focused therapy.  The session is aimed at informing best practice.
