Working as an Advocate Within Children and Families Work Training - One Day - T0232d

Abstract

The aim of the course is to familiarise course participants with how to work effectively with children and families when assuming the advocate role and what this means for practice.  Emphasis will be placed on reviewing a variety of issues that advocates struggle with when working with children and families and how to overcome these hurdles.  Course participants will be introduced to models of practice that engage children and families in a more meaningful way.  The course will embrace best practice methodology.
