Promoting Positive Behavioural Support Within The Primary Education Field (2 Days) - T0118s

Abstract

The course is aimed at promoting the use of Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) in an empirically validated manner in an attempt to eliminate challenging behaviours and replace them with pro-social skills amongst primary school children. Course participants will learn the effective use of PBS in order to decrease the need for more intrusive or aversive interventions (i.e., punishment or suspension) that can lead to both systemic as well as individualised change, thus vastly improving an individual’s quality of life within an educational setting. Best practice will be maintained throughout the training.
