Abstract

The aim of the course is to train course participants to provide appropriate support to people with learning disabilities who present with psychosexual issues specific to transvestic fetishism and transgender issues and what this means with reference to providing appropriate support.  The course will cover a range of issues for those providing appropriate supports in order to manage presenting topics that are faced within a residential care environment.  This will include the practical application of adherence to appropriate support within a residential setting that follows best practice methodology.
