Self-Harm And Ligature Training - 1 Day - T0131i

Abstract

The course will enable course participants to explore issues relating to self-harm and managing ligature issues when working with young people.. Individuals will learn how to respond to young people who choose to self-harm using ligatures pertaining to suicidal ideation. Ways of working with young people will be explored at length in order to give workers more confidence in their work. The rationale surrounding self-harming behaviour and suicide will be explored throughout the training. Emphasis will be placed on how to deal with individuals in a therapeutic manner and therefore create a confidence base in this work.
