Abstract

The focus of the course will be upon giving staff guidance and information pertinent to child protection information. A thorough overview will be given to child protection issues pertinent to the relevant legislation. This will be given a contextual framework directly in relation to working with service users who fall within the child protection domain. The legal aspects will be dealt with at length in order to equip staff with the correct information relating to child protection issues. Guidance will be given in how to follow best practice guidelines in working together with children’s services departments to adhere to child protection policy and legislation.
