Implementing Therapeutic Models For Reunification - 3 Days - T0351

Abstract

The aim of the course is to familiarise course participants with the concept of therapeutic models in assisting residential services to provide therapeutic support to children and young people with the aim of promoting their resilience to move them into foster care placements. The focus of the course will review the use of Theraplay and how this can be utilised in the promotion of this endeavour to support the transition process. This will be combined with a cognitive and behavioural approach in order to assist children and young people in the move from residential support services into a foster care placement. The course is aimed at creating best practice within the service you are based within.
