Abstract

The aim of the course is to help course participants fully understand how to engage individuals in the process of mediation and what this means for the application of practice. Emphasis will be placed on a range of areas that are specific to mediation in dealing with and resolving conflict issues in a safe and pragmatic manner.  Emphasis will be placed on working with individuals using a variety of skill sets in resolving communication issues that are problematic within relationships.  The course will be will concentrate upon best practices models of mediation.
