Abstract

The aim of this awareness-raising event is to familiarise course participants with Castle Morpeth Borough Council’s policies pertaining to the Race Equality Scheme and the Equal Opportunities Policy.  Participants will become familiar with these two aspects and how this will subsequently impacts upon professional practice.  The legal underpinnings of these documents will be highlighted in order that participants fully appreciate the issues inherent from these protocols.  Emphasis will be placed upon delivering working practice that encompasses the full range of diversity in the workplace.
