Motivational Interviewing: Patient Activation Approach Training - 2 Days - T0132zd

Abstract

The aim of the course is to enable participants to explore issues relating to the concepts of motivational interviewing in order to promote patient activation to address parity of esteem between physical and mental health. Course participants will be given thorough grounding in utilising this methodological framework within the workplace setting in how this can be utilised effectively to promote patient activation. The focus of the course will address issues pertinent to working with people to improve both their physical and mental health utilising a motivationally enhanced patient activation approach. Participants will be given guidance in applying a variety of motivational interviewing skills that will activate service users towards rehabilitation and recovery.
