Abstract

The overall aim of this course is to equip course participants with the therapeutic tools required to work with the phenomenon of personality disorder. Course participants will begin to appreciate the fundamental aspects of personality disorder and the onset of problems associated with personality disorders in order to effectively manage a very complex client group. A range of aspects will be covered over the training to highlight the difficulties of working with an individual with a personality disorder and how to cope with a highly complex area of work. Both the positives and negatives of the work will be addressed in conjunction with best practice issues. The course is aimed at informing direct therapeutic practice.
