Abstract

The aim of the course is to familiarise participants with concepts relating to Dementia & Challenging Behaviours in older people and how this impacts upon the person and how this affects those around them. There will be a thorough review of understanding the rudiments of Dementia & Challenging Behaviours in older people. The complexity of this phenomenon will be explored in order to enable carers to work in a more insightful and practical manner in order to promote best practice in the workplace.
