The aim of this awareness-raising event is to familiarise course participants with the issues pertaining to equality and diversity in relation to children and young people with disabilities.  Participants will become familiar with these issues can impact upon professional practice.  The legal underpinnings will be highlighted in order that participants fully appreciate the issues inherent from the protocols in supporting children and young people with disabilities..  Emphasis will be placed upon delivering working practice that encompasses the full range of diversity in the workplace.
