The aim of the course is to familiarise course participants with the issues specific to working with mental health issues and communication when supporting clients who how have a variety of need factors. Course participants will become familiar with a variety of factors when supporting people who have a history of forensic provision and what challenges this presents for services. A variety of areas will be covered relating to learning disability, mental health issues and the rudiments of the communication process. Best practice methodology will be deployed throughout the course.
