Understanding and Conducting Risk Assessment - 2 Days - T0124d

Abstract

To enable participants to explore issues relating to components of risk and its assessment when working with people who have dual diagnosis.  Participants will learn what is understood by: risk, risk assessment and risk management when working with this client group.  The difficulty of balancing the management of risks and the rights of the individual will be of paramount concern throughout the training.  Elements of risk will be addressed at all levels: risk to staff, risk to users of services and risk to the self.  The course has been devised to inform procedural practice.
