Abstract

The aim of the course is to familiarise experienced practitioners in the whole concept of investigation skills within safeguarding and employment investigation work: Achieving Best Evidence and the implication this will have upon working practice in working within the civil and criminal justice system will be explored at length. Practitioners will become skilled at the investigative interviewing of vulnerable persons/witnesses in the process of giving evidence in line with Achieving Best Evidence rhetoric. The many facets of Achieving Best Evidence protocols will be explored at length in order to skill practitioners in the investigation field. Practitioners will become familiar with the whole investigation process from its inception to conclusion within both safeguarding and employment investigations within the organisation.
