The aim of this course is to give an overview of the issues endemic to undertaking assessments within a child and parent foster placement. Practitioners and foster carers will become familiar with an array of aspects within assessments and how to translate these to direct practice within a child and parent fostering placement. Practitioners will be briefed on what is required to make sure that parenting is to a ‘good enough’ standard from a capacity to protect perspective and what you need to be aware of within this scope of work. Best practice methodology will be adopted throughout the training.
