The aim of the course is to give course participants a refresher/update of the concepts relating to forensic services when working with people with learning disabilities. The course will cover a range of aspects in supporting people who display behaviours that can potentially cause significant harm to others. The course will focus specifically upon management and treatment issues pertaining to this client group in how best to support people who pose significant risks to others when placed within the community. The legal aspects of forensic practice will be explored on this course.
