The aim of the course is give course participants an insight in how to work with parental capacity to protect issues when abuse occurs in families. Emphasis will be given to assessment and treatment issues that professionals have to manage when considering risk factors in families. Course participants will cover a variety of areas that will aid in assessing risks carers may pose and what protective factors need to be in place for safe parenting of children and young people. The course will inform best practice issues for all.
