The course is aimed at assisting staff in devising a range of skills in working with people with substance misuse issues in order to promote the effective management of Post-Acute Withdrawal. Emphasis will be placed on cognitive and behavioural techniques that can be used in direct practice that will look carefully at relapse prevention strategies that will fundamentally aim to keep people safe from harm and self-manage Post Acute Withdrawal Symptomology. The course is aimed at informing best practice.
