Abstract

The aim of the course is to give course participants an overview of the application of CBT in working with families where domestic abuse is an issue.  The course will outline the application of CBT when working with couples where domestic abuse is a feature of the relationship and how to apply these principles when working with this topic area.  Course participants will learn how to use a safe model of practice in a potentially hazardous area of work.  Best practice issues will be addressed throughout the training.
